Sorry to break it to you, but Valentine's Day is TOMORROW. And given that my next film is about a lingerie shop, I want to know...did you buy anything new this year to ring in love's special day? And I'm curious, how much did you pay?

I love having this conversation with my girlfriends. Some feel they would NEVER go to a specialty lingerie shop and pay even $100 (let alone, you know, $15 million) for a good bra. Afterall, who's going to see it? Others call their love of good lingerie an expensive addiction, but see it as self-care, not to mention a gift that keeps on giving.

Whatever it is that tickles your fancy and price point, hope you are feeling lovely and sexy in your Valentine's wares!

I met with my Director of Photography this week to discuss my next film, about a lingerie shop owner (hopefully making it later this year....financing - fingers crossed). He suggested I start an idea board to help me collect and express everything I am envisioning. So why not this photo of an idea board, to help me get started with my own. (P.S., could see Pinterest becoming my new addiction)

My fabulous girlfriends made me watch this today...on the way to the mountains.  Yes there we were in the midst of pristine nature, and we were pulling out our iPhones because they just couldn't wait to make me watch this.  JAI HO!

Penguins do the 12 days...

Last month, I got to help style the props for this ad campaign for the Calgary Zoo (airing in theatres before Happy Feet 2).

Luckily, shops had started to stock their Christmas wares....otherwise, I would have been totally hooped. Any challenges you ask? Please note the tiny red berets on the "3 French Penguins". And finding miniature drumsticks for the 12 drumming penguins? Matchsticks!

the baby cliff

Just released - here is a great short film for which I was an Associate Producer.  The best part? I got to work with 2 tremendously talented and savvy female directors - Dominique Keller and Smita Acharyya.  The worst part? The paperwork!

Filmmaking is a great deal of dotting i's and crossing t's. The short film is binders full of contracts, releases, script revisions, funding applications, expense forms. 

It is so satisfying for me to see all the work jump off the page into this short film with great performances.
